2018 Nissan Leaf Not Ready To Challenge Chevy Bolt, Tesla Model 3!

Yesterday was a big day for both Nissan and EV-enthusiasts as it witnessed the official unveiling of the next-generation Leaf. The future Leaf will be going on sale later this year but it looks like the car is still not ready to compete with the Chevrolet Bolt and the Tesla Model 3.

In case you are unaware, Nissan will only sell the new Leaf with a 40kWh battery. This means that the vehicle will be limited to 150 miles of driving range and this is nowhere near the levels of the Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla Model 3.

Both rivals can offer more than 200 miles of driving range and this shows how far behind the Leaf is. The good news here is that Nissan will gradually roll out longer range options in the near future as they want to ensure sufficient supply of larger battery packs.

Until then, the Bolt and the Model 3 can breathe easy as the best version of the next-gen Leaf is pending to get released.
