2019 Acura ILX Has Failed To Address Elephant In The Room!

By  |

It is official. Acura has dropped every detail on the 2019 ILX and it confirms that the facelifted model will be equipped with more new technologies.

To keep it brief, the ILX comes with a sharper styling both on the inside and outside, and it will feature a new infotainment system that utilizes an advanced touchpad like the ones on the latest MDX. The icing on the cake is with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay being made available with the ILX.

These are welcomed changes but it is not exactly what car fans are looking for on an Acura. One individual commented that Acura is still not addressing the elephant in the room – the aging platform on the ILX.

It is something that doesn’t make sense because Acura is a luxury arm from Honda but the ILX is still operating on an old architecture instead of getting the highly-rated platform used on the tenth-generation Accord.

Even if the ILX boasts having a higher-quality interior, the fans would settle for a Honda Civic as they know that they will get a better performing car for a much lesser price.
