2019 Chevrolet Blazer RS AWD: Looks Can Be Deceiving

By  |

The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is already pretty sporty looking but GM wanted to take things a little further with the Blazer RS model which looks even more fearsome but some people are saying that all that aggressiveness is only for show.

The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer RS model will be coming in with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle will be iffering abotu 308hp and 270lb ft of torque and will retunr abotu 18mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway.

As nice as the numbers looked, do take into consideration that you will be able to get the same engine on the standard Blazer as well. What you will be getting with the RS model is some exterior upgrades like the 20inch wheels, black leather interior, heated front seats, steering wheel, rear parking sensors, power liftgate, ambient lighting, auto-dimming mirror and so much more.

There are also a few more additional package options that buyers can choose from. Of course, to enjoy all those additional features, you will need to pay as the RS model is about $10,000 more expensive than the standard model with the V6 engine. Do you think it is worth it?

Where the RS really stands out is its driving characteristics because of a stiffer suspension and tighter steering ratio than the other trim levels. Those combined with the upgraded AWD system the Blazer RS handles better than any other in its class. You failed to mention that important feature of the RS.
