2019 Ford Edge Gets Back On The Safe Track

The 2019 Ford Edge was given a much bigger refresh that what it looks like from the outside as IIHS gave the 2019 a higher safety rating compared to the previous version.

According to IIHS, the Ford Edge was good enough to get a Top Safety Pick award which is an award that the model has been missing out on since 2015. While it is not the Top Safety Pick + that so many automakers are aiming for, it is better than what we expect it to get.

Upgrades that were noted by Ford includes headlights and forward collision prevention system. The headlights were given an Acceptable rating but only for the ST and Titanium mode which has optional headlights upgrades.

The collision prevention system also could stop the vehicle at speeds up to 25mph. The 2019 Ford Edge will be joining models like the Honda Passport and Jeep Cherokee in the Top Safety Pick club this time.
