2019 Ford GT500 Turning The Tides Against Manual!

By  |

Every passing day brings us closer to the release of the next-gen Ford Mustang GT500 and many can’t wait to check out what the vehicle will have to offer.

Ford has already confirmed that the Mustang GT500 will have a V8 engine resting under the hood and the mill will be tuned for the best straight-line performance around.

Today, a new piece of information has surfaced online and it is that the GT500 will be offered with a 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox as an option. It is good to know that stick shift will be available with the upcoming muscle car but the way it was revealed has left feeling disturbed.

This is due to the fact that the GT500 from 2007 onwards have been offered with the 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox and seeing the feature being referred to as an added option suggests that the GT500 is never made to run on manual.

It can be viewed as a major sign pointing to end of manuals in the automotive scene but at least we can look forward to one last great GT500 manual experience through the next-gen model.
