2019 Ford Ranger Raptor: Diesel Verdict Bound For LA?

By  |

Ford has talked plenty about the next-gen, US-bound Ranger but they are still pending to launch the vehicle. Many expected the Ranger’s US revival to happen in the first-half of 2018 but that did not come true at all.

The continued absence of the Ranger has left many anticipating LA Auto Show with hopes of seeing the midsized pickup truck getting launched at the event. Even the rumours are making a similar claim about it and this has hyped up the crowd for the motoring event.

After all, many are curious to see the powertrain that will rest under the hood of the Ranger. The expectations have been mixed on this front and this is due to the global Ranger Raptor that drives on a turbocharged diesel engine.

Diesels are not popular in the US hence Ford could be offering something different with the up and coming Ranger Raptor. Until LA Auto Show happens, there is no way to tell on the Ranger’s stance towards diesel.

Diesel is the only way this truck will hope to compete against the Colorado ZR2 that is garnering ALL the attention (and rave reviews) in this niche right now.
