2019 Nissan Leaf Keeping It Simple Down Under

After the long wait, those living in Australia will now be able to get their hands on the 2019 Nissan Leaf model although the option might be more limited compared to the other market.

The Nissan Leaf that will be offered in Australia will come with an electric motor that will be powered by a 40kWh battery pack. The engine is estimated to deliver about 147hp and 236lb ft of torque.

It is estimated that the Leaf will be offering about 167miles of range and will need about 7.5 hours to charge with a 7kW home charger and only 60minutes to get to 80% using the CHAdeMO rapid charger.

Customers will have six color option to choose from including Ivory Pearl, Magnetic Red, Pearl Black, Arctic White, Platinum, and Gun Metalic. Safety features like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Forward Collision and more will be offered as standard as well.
