2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe Competition & First Edition Detailed

More than a year after BMW showed us the BMW M8 Gran Coupe concept, they are now ready to show off the actual production model. Here is what we know right now.

The 2020 BMW M8 Gran Coupe will be fitted with a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that will be offering about 600hp and 552lb ft of torque. Those looking for more can opt for the Competition model which will be offering about 617hp and 553lb ft of torque. Thanks to the engine, the Gran Coupe will only need 3.1 seconds to go from 0-60 while the Competition will be 0.1 second quicker than that.

Paired with the V8 engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission. On top of that, the vehicle will also come with an extra engine oil cooler and transmission cooler along with a redesign oil pump and pan to keep the powertrain cool.

BMW also announced the First Edition which will come with a dark green exterior with bronze trimmings. There will only be 400 units with 50 coming to the US. The BMW M8 Gran Coupe will retail for $130,995.
