A few months ago, we go to see the 2020 Buick Encore GX at the Auto Shanghai show and at that time, based on the size and offering of the vehicle, it was predicted that the Encore GX would cost a lot more than the standard GX but that is far from the case now.
It was reported that the 2020 Buick Encore GX will retail for $24,100 now which is about $900 more than the base Encore model. With that kind of price, people would definitely find the Buick Encore GX much more attractive.
The Encore GX will come riding on the new VSS-F architecture and will be powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that will be offering about 155hp and 174lb ft of torque. The extra length will also make sure there is more room in the GX.
From what it looks like, Buick is not doing the Encore any favor by pricing the Encore GX so low but we are not complaining.
