2020 Ford Mustang GT500 Shies Away From Dodge Demon Contest

The next-gen Ford Mustang GT500 is one of the most anticipated cars right now and it is expected to make its official unveiling at the next Detroit Auto Show.

The unveiling will bring confirmation on the power and performance potential but you don’t have to wait until then to get a rough picture of the numbers on the Mustang GT500. This is because an internal document for the vehicle has leaked online earlier today and it explicitly shows the planned power output for the GT500.

As how you can see at the end of this article, the document quoted the Mustang GT500 to have an output of 720hp. Power is sourced from a 5.2L supercharged V8 engine and the top speed will be electronically locked at 190MPH.

The numbers are pretty decent for a GT500 but it will also mean not having the car competing directly against the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Instead, the Mustang will directly contest with the Challenger Hellcat.
