2020 Honda Accord Hybrid Gets Fake Sound

The 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid model might look the same on the outside but it will come with a few important changes.

One new feature that the 2020 model will come with is the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System or AVAS which is a sound that the vehicle will emit when it is running on electric alone as stated by the new federal regulation so that those outside will be able to hear it and know that it is coming.

Powering the vehicle will be the same 2.0 liter Atkinson cycle engine that will be mated to the E-CVT and two electric motors. The engine will be offering about 212hp and 232lb ft of torque and will be able to return about 48mpg in the city and 47mpg on the highway.

Features like the automatic high-beam headlights, driver attention monitor, a multi-angle rearview camera will all come as part of the Honda Sensing safety suite and will be offered as standard.

Th 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid is expected to arrive this week with a slight price increase.
