By  |

The Hyundai Elantra was given a facelift last year and now Hyundai will be offering even more updates to the 2020 Hyundai Elantra.

One update that might not sit well with some people is the replacement of the six-speed manual transmission. Instead of the old transmission, the 2020 model will be offered with the Intelligent Variable Transmission which will also come in to replace the six-speed automatic transmission.

The Elantra will still be powered by the 2.0 liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine. According to Hyundai, the new transmission will be more fuel efficient.

Other upgrades will include the dual-zone automatic climate control system, Forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assists, driver attention warning and more.

The 2020 model will be arriving soon with a price tag of $18,950.
