Seat is preparing to launch a new EV model base don’t eh El-Born concept that we got to see at the Geneva Motor Show this year. Here is what we know right now.

The EV will come riding on the Volkswagen I.D hatch platform that was made to fit electric motors and batteries. According to Seat, the El-Born would be able to offer about 261miles of range. The vehicle will be powered by a 62kWh battery pack that will deliver about 201hp.

It will also support fast-charging which means it will only need 47minutes to charge up to 80% and will need 7.5 seconds to go from 0-62mph. Since this is an EV after all, the grille will be enclosed. It will also be fitted with a set of 20inch wheels.

In terms of tech, it will come with the Level 2 semi-autonomous driving as well as a self-parking function. It is estimated that the Seat El-Born production model will come in with a $31k price tag and is expected to arrive in 2020.
