Talks about the new Toyota Supra have been going on for some time now and what the fans were most interested to know is how fast the Toyota Supra really is. Well, Toyota finally has an answer for us now.

The Toyota Supra finally is its laps at the Buttonwillow Raceway in central California. Driven by Formula Drift champion Daijiro Yoshihara, the Supra managed to clock in a 1:58.92. This is pretty impressive seeing as a Spec Miata only manage to complete it in 2:05.02.

In fact, the SUpra even beat the 997 Porsche 911 GT3 model as well as the 997 Porsche 911 GT2 model. Of course, those models were pretty old but for a vehicle with a $50K price tag, the time is pretty amazing.

We were not the only ones that were surprised by the time of the Supra as Yoshihara also added that the Supra was much faster than he thought it could be and commented that the vehicle handled well and has good feedback.
