2020 Volkswagen GTi Starting Price Rise With New Tech Additions

The 2020 Volkswagen GTi will be coming in with more tech and features but that also means it will be getting a new price tag as well. Here is what we know right now.

The 2020 model will now come with a few extra standard features including the automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert which was offered as part of the Driver Assistance package the last time.

Powering the 2020 model should be the name 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 228hp and 258lb ft of torque and will return about 24mpg in the city and 32mpg on the highway. According to CarsDirect, the base GTi model will now start from $29,515 including destination charge which makes it $1025 more expensive than the previous model. Those looking to have it with the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will bring the price up to $30,315.
