2020 Volvo XC90: Minor Updates And New Electrifying Option

The order books are now open for the 2020 Volvo XC90 model and besides coming in with some new features and update, the 2020 model will also be getting a new variant.

The Volvo XC90 will now be offered with the advanced braking kinetic energy recovery system which will be paired with their combustion engines. These models will be offered under the B badge to match the T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid version. No official numbers have been announced yet but according to Volvo, the new system could help improve the fuel economy of the vehicle by 15%

On the outside, the vehicle will be fitted with a new grille to match what the other Volvo models are offering right now. Customers will also be offered a new six-seat configuration now alongside the other previous configurations.

Safety features like City Safety with Autobrake, Cross Traffic Alert, and more will be offered as standard. Other features like Android Auto support will also be offered this time around.

The 2020 Volvo XC90 will go into production in May this year.
