Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Can Outpace Acura NSX

The Alfa Romeo Giulia and the Acura NSX are two performance cars that are developed for two very different markets.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, in particular, is made as a sports luxury compact sedan with 505hp to offer from a 2.9L twin-turbo engine. The Acura NSX, on the other hand, is a lot more powerful as it has a hybrid powertrain that can churn out almost 600hp.

The NSX also has the better structure for performance. Its lowered height and AWD setup is made for extreme handling thus making the car the obvious winner when compared to the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV.

But then again, a video popped up earlier today to show how a Giulia QV can outpace the Acura NSX. It is an interesting thing to watch because the Giulia QV posted better ratings around Laguna Seca than the NSX due to it being driven by a professional.

The video sends a strong message where you can beat a high-powered car if you can drive well. This is a trait that is apparently missing on the majority of sports car owners.

The video really demonstrates a whole lotta’ nothing. I’m not certain what one can conclude from this, but the only metric by which the Giulia, a fantastic car, outdoes the NSX is in seating capacity & luggage room. This road ‘test’ is at best inconclusive, and at worst, nine wasted minutes.
