All-New 2020 Toyota Yaris Goes Hybrid

It might not feel like it but Toyota is pushing the Toyota Yaris a few steps forward with the arrival of the 2020 model.

The new Toyota Yaris will come riding on the Toyota New Global Architecture modular platform which will also be what future compact cars by Toyota will be riding on. Powering the Yaris will be a new 1.5-liter hybrid system and electric four-wheel drive.

The battery fitted will also be repalce with a lithium-ion battery that is said to offer quicker acceleration.

Toyota’s Safety Sense will also be offered as standard and it will come with features like pre-collision pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, low-speed acceleration control and more.

The 2020 Toyota Yaris is set to arrive in Japan early next year while those in the US will have to wait until the second half of next year to get their hands on the vehicle.
