Aston Martins Recalled Over Airbag Issues

Some Aston Martins will be recalled after it was discovered that there might be an issue with the front passenger airbags.

According to NHTSA’s reported, about 14% of Aston Martins could have a front passenger airbag issue which would lead to the recall of about 17 Aston Martins here in the US.

It was explained that the passenger airbag fixing might not have been tightened to the correct torque which could lead to the airbags failing to deploy or deploying incorrectly putting the passenger at bigger risk.

Those affected will be the DB11 Coupe and Volante made from August 10, 2017 to October 18, 2018, the Vantage from 16th of June to 27th of November last year and the DBS Superleggera assembled from the 5th of December until the 12th last year.

Affected models will be inspected and fix for free. The recall is expected to start on the 18th of December.
