Chevrolet Bolt Faces Global Pressure To Upsize!

By  |

The Chevrolet Bolt is slowly making grounds in the US market whereas in the global scene, the EV hatchback is struggling to keep up with demand.

Chevrolet admitted to this earlier today during their press conference and they have decided to increase the global output of the Bolt EV by a whopping 20%. This is after parent company, GM, discovered that sales of the Bolt have rose consistently by 35% in key global markets.

The demand is on a sharp incline hence a move to increase production is important. Failing to do so will only leave consumers with a long waiting time for deliveries, much like how it is for the Tesla Model 3.

The Chevrolet Bolt is an affordable EV that is priced at about $35,000 before tax incentives. The car is packed with more than 200 miles of electric driving range on a fully charged battery.
