Chevrolet Bolt To Ruin Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3 In August

The Chevrolet Bolt has been gradually picking up sales since it made its debut back in December of last year but the figures are far from enough for it to challenge the Nissan Leaf and the upcoming Tesla Model 3.

Some would blame this on GM for failing to launch the Bolt on a nationwide basis but the carmaker responded by saying that they didn’t fulfil their promise to ensure sufficient supply of the Bolt.

Today, GM took the spotlight again when they revealed that they have started taking in orders from every dealer in the US on the Bolt before promising to deliver them in August. In other words, all those pending orders for the Bolt will get fulfilled in a couple of months from now.

If this is to mean anything, we can finally see the Bolt’s true sales figure in August this year. Whether it will be enough to finally put the Nissan Leaf to rest and challenge the 300,000 pre-orders made for the Model 3 remains to be answered.
