Chevrolet Impala Gets To Hang Around For Another Year

GM has already announced the models that they will be cutting off from their lineup which included the Volt, Impala, CT6 and more. While the Volt will be saying its goodbye this month, some other models might get to stick around for a little longer.

GM has just announced that they will be keeping their Detroit-Hamtramck plant open for six more months which means the Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac CT6 will remain in production until 2020 instead of June this year as originally announced.

The employees, suppliers, and dealers were already informed of the change. While they continue to produce the CT6, GM will probably start looking for a new home for the CT6 as the vehicle was meant to last longer since it was just released in 2016.

Sadly, the Buick LaCrosse will not be so lucky as it will be exiting alongside the Chevrolet Volt this week.
