Detroit Auto Show Attendance Further Justify Move

By  |

While auto shows like the Detroit Auto Show was where people want to be at in the past, it looks like these shows are becoming less and less popular. Not only are some automakers choosing not to unveil their new models and concept at the event but it looks like even the public are choosing not to attend these events.

It was reported that the attendance for the 2019 Detroit Auto Show was down by 35,000 this year compared to last year despite the fact that they were some pretty interesting reveals at the event like the Toyota Supra and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

Of course, automakers like BMW, Audi and Mercedes did choose to sit this one out so that could be another reason why attendance has drop. One solution that the organizers had propose was to push the show back a few months so that it does not clash with other evnts like CES. The Detroit Auto Show will be pushed to June next year but do you think that will be enough to turn things around for them?
