Yes, you read the title right. The Dodge Viper is an iconic supercar that was discontinued a couple of years ago but its absence will only be temporary.

It was reported by Car&Driver that Dodge has commenced development of the next-gen Viper and they are hoping to release the car by 2020. No details on the car were spared when making the report but the automotive publication did plea for the readers to take a leap of faith on the claims made.

Car&Driver revealed that the information came from a credible source which they trust greatly and if they feel that way, we are convinced that a new Viper is truly in the works.

It will be interesting to see what the next-gen Viper will have to offer and we can’t help but wonder if the car will come out running on a hybrid setup. The only way to find out is to wait until 2020.
