Ferrari Snubs Ford GT’s Methods For Acura NSX & BMW i8

Ford turbocharged EcoBoost engines have gained so much recognition that it got the car manufacturer to offer a turbocharged mill on the GT. Despite being just a V6 EcoBoost engine, the GT is able to offer an insane performance.

It is not just Ford that greatly rely on turbochargers, the German big three too are also turbocharging their performance vehicles. So when speculations on a turbocharged car from Ferrari started circulating the web, the carmaker immediately made a loud announcement to confirm they have zero interest in the technology.

Ferrari’s chief, Sergio Marchionne, said that turbochargers are great but having it applied on a Ferrari will spoil the company’s tradition. Sergio added that their future cars will be sticking to V12s and the only other technology which they may consider is hybrid.

Hence, it is right to say that future Ferraris will be more like the Acura NSX and BMW i8, in the sense that it will cleverly blend electric energy with a primary ICE motor. In Ferrari’s case, they will be sticking to V12s.
