Ford Edge vs Chevrolet Traverse: The Biggest Loser Is…

By  |

Be it good times or bad times, Ford is always one up over its closest rival, GM. The carmaker proved it yet again when it recorded bigger volume sales than GM for July last month and this is despite of the sharp decline in sales for American-made cars.

We have already covered the Mustang beating the Camaro in this dark sales era and today, we learned on something new. It appears that Ford’s crossovers are also doing better than GM in spite of the massive sales slide.

The Ford Edge, in particular, achieved 11,156 units sold in July. This is about 1,200 units short of what was achieved in the months before it but it is a slight improvement over July of last year. Either way, the Edge’s sales figures puts it ahead of rival Chevrolet Traverse.

GM managed to move 8,626 Chevrolet Traverse last month, down by more than 40% from July of last year. If that is not bad enough, the month before it saw 20% more Traverse leaving the lots.

Despite having the bragging rights over GM, Ford is still in troubled waters on the sales front and they need to do something about it fast.
