Ford F-150: China Mission, Mustang Results?

By  |

We can now confirm that Ford ‘s decision to ship the Mustang over to China is a shrewd one as the pony car turned into an instant sales success in the far eastern market. Now, it appears that a second performance vehicle from Ford is hoping to replicate the same success.

Like how it is mentioned in the title above, Ford is preparing to launch the F-150 Raptor in China. The pickup truck is already being lined up on the shipping yard as we speak and it is expected to make official sales entry somewhere in Q2 this year.

Like the F-150 Raptor here in the US, the China-bound model will rely on the same 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine that can develop 450hp and 550ft-lbs of torque. This will allow the oversized vehicle to sprint from 0-60mph in an impressive time of 5.1 seconds. Despite the power of the F-150 Raptor, it does not guarantee success over in China.

This is something we are all nervous to find out because the pickup truck scene in China is a mystery to us all. If the F-150 Raptor turns out into a hit, it will boost Ford income by a big margin. But only time will tell if this is going to be an outcome.
