Ford, Honda & Toyota Coming For Chevrolet

By  |

Chevrolet wanted to show the world that their vehicles were more reliable than their competitors but it looks like that did not work out well for them and they had now decided to pull the TV ad from rotation in the US.

In the commercial, Chverolet got a few “real people” that drive Hondas, Toyotas and Ford and showed them that their vehicles were not as reliable as they think but if they wanted to put such a strong message out, they better make sure it was true.

The issue here was that the data used were not exactly the msot accurate data. The data was from a survey that Ipsos did that was sponsored by Chevrolet. The survey pit Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac model agaisnt other brands in the aera that has been replaced or repaired in the last 12 month. The probalem is that the 12 month might not be a good indication of whether the vehicle is actually reliable or not.

Since the ads, Honda and Toyota both challenged Chevrolet ad and Chevrolet finally agreed to pull the ad down but also said that they stand behind the claim made in the commercial.

What do you think?
