Ford Mustang Leaves Chevrolet Camaro Sucking Its Thumb

The latest generation Chevrolet Camaro may be the better rated muscle car but this is still not good enough for it to bag victory where it matters most. No, we are not referring to the finish line of any tracks. Instead we are pointing to sales of the vehicle.

Despite having greater performance than rivals Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Camaro is still unable to become a global bestseller. The Ford Mustang, on the other hand, had just been crowned as the bestselling sports car in the world.

Figures provided by IHS Markit Data confirmed that 45,000 Mustangs were sold outside the US in 2016, which translates to a 101% jump from the previous year. Furthermore, Ford made entries into newer market which expands the Mustang’s presence to a total of 140 countries.

Ford’s successful global network has made it easy for the Mustang to turn into a global jewel and this is where the Camaro is failing.
