Ford Mustang vs Chevrolet Camaro: Battle Of Two Losers

By  |

It seems that there is no end to the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro comparison, even in a time of crisis. The two cars were amongst the biggest losers in July sales figures and their respective fans have been debating on which car is doing worst.

Both GMAuthority and FordAuthority were comparing sales of both the Mustang and Camaro while defending the vehicle they favor. Well, we are going to play middle man here and it is sad to see which is better of the two losers.

In figures, Ford managed to move 6,206 Mustangs in July last month and this is about 1,493 units more than the Camaro. This means that the Mustang is still ahead when it comes to plain sales figures.

But when it comes to year-to-year comparison, the Mustang has dipped by a margin of 35.12%. Meanwhile, the Camaro experienced a 14.63% decline when compared to sales numbers of July last year. In simpler terms, the Mustang experienced a sharper decline than the Camaro.

The figures certainly look worrying, especially when the overall sales of American-made cars are at a new low this year. If this goes on, we may see another financial crisis striking American carmakers.
