Ford Ranger Raptor EV Would Be Perfect Filler Between F-150 Lightning & Electric Bronco

The Ford F-150 Lightning EV has taken in a record number of pre-orders and shows no sign of slowing down. With that said, the vehicle appears to be only LHD which has many other Ford fans in other parts of the world disappointed that there is no electrified pickup truck heading their way in right-hand drive.

With that said, a recent conference at the Capital Markets Day presentation revealed an all-electric model coming soon. The silhouette shown at the presentation resembled very much that of the Ford Bronco which we know shares the same underpinnings as the Ford Ranger.

While the Ford Ranger is a smaller workhorse compared to the Ford F-150, an electric version of the truck with improved acceleration and torque would fit nicely with the Ford Ranger Raptor range which finds itself in the city lights more than outskirts.

The premium Ford Ranger Raptor model in fact is available in more parts of the world than the F-150 and would serve as a good entry electric vehicle for Ford to these regions.

With a premium price tag and lower sales volume, it may not be too difficult to get some electric models into their inventory, especially as they are manufactured in Thailand where the government is providing incentives for green vehicle production.

Would you be interested in a Ford Ranger Raptor EV with a bit more pep and better suited for the urban jungle? Or do you think the market for a Ford Ranger Raptor is too small to worth catering another variant for?
