Ford Transit & Tourneo Plug-In Hybrid: More Details Drop

We got to see how the new Ford Transit plug-in hybrid will look like last year and now Ford is ready to release a little more details about the upcoming model.

Powering the vehicle is a 125hp electric motor that will be getting its juice from the 13.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This will allow the vehicle to run on electric-only for 35miles. To help support that is a 1.0 liter EcoBoost petrol engine that will act as a generator which will push its range to an impressive 310miles.

On the outside, the vehicle will be getting some minor exterior upgrades including an updated front bumper with integrated charging port. On the inside, the standard power gauge and coolant temperature gauge will be replaced by a battery charge indicator.

Other than the Transit, Ford also announces the Tourneo Custom Plug-In Hybrid. The eight-seater will come powered by the same powertrain as the transit.
