Genesis G80: Sour Prospects Bring An Early End!

By  |

About a year ago, Hyundai launched a new company called Genesis and the firm is tasked with building only luxury vehicles. Genesis is made to function like Toyota’s Lexus and Nissan’s Infiniti but it is not doing too well in the market.

While the Genesis G80 may have made an impactful debut on certain regions, the car never managed to take off in Europe – particularly the UK.

Since its introduction in 2015, Genesis only managed to move 50 G80 in the UK and this is a very bad record for the brand as a whole. The sales prospects are really poor as consumers are more leaned into getting a BMW or Mercedes and they show no interest in giving the G80 a chance.

Being unable to comprehend the cost of operation, Genesis has decided to leave the UK market but they are open to making a return once they see a real sales potential in the country.

I don’t understand why. I absolutely love my Genesis G80. Every family member or associate that rides my car are floored how beautiful the car is and how well it rides. It’s also gives me plenty of horsepower driving around the San Francisco Bay Area.
