GM Dealings May Leave Chevrolet Conquering Europe

By  |

Some Chevy fans here in the US hated the fact that several Chevrolet cars that are shipped to Europe are rebadged as Vauxhall. The move does not make sense, especially when GM is capable of launching those vehicles as Chevrolets.

Well, GM may have realized this now and this explains why they are in talks with Peugeot-Citroen. The latter is allegedly dealing with GM to buy over both Vauxhall and Opel. The two names are famous for mimicking Chevrolet and Buick hence selling them away to Peugeot-Citroen can be a good deal for GM.

Furthermore, Peugeot-Citroen can scrap Vauxhall entirely and revive a high volume name – Opel. As for GM, they can proceed to reshuffling their products for the European market by bringing out more Buicks and Chevrolets.

We can’t see anything negative with this deal and we are surely hoping for it to happen. Otherwise, GM’s approach in Europe will continue to remain at a stale state.
