Now that Ford has already announce that they will be working on a new electric-powered Ford F-150 model, General Motors will also be looking to offer one of their own soon but new rumors are suggesting that they might not make it to the race in time.

According to Bloomberg, the talks between GM and Rivian might not turn into anything. It is believe that GM is looking to use Rivian to speed up the development of their electric trucks. Without Rivian in the picture, GM might take a few years mroe to developr their electric truck since thier current next-gen electric vehicle can’t be used for pickups.

GM might have to cough up a huge sum for investment of they don’t strike a deal with Rivian. Rivian on the other than will have an electric pickup called the R1T to offer in 2020.

The R1T will be powered by four electric motors with three battery capacities and various output starting from 402hp.
