Hyundai i30 N Fastback vs Kia Stinger: SK’s Finest Sports Car Is…

By  |

Very soon from now, Hyundai will launch a second variant of the i30 N and it is one that is built as a fastback. Today, more details on the car emerged and we can’t help but to compare it with South Korea’s other sports car, the Kia Stinger.

This cannot be avoided as the i30 N Fastback looks like it is not built to be the finest sports car from the Asian country. The i30 N Fastback is said to rely on a 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can do 271hp at best. This is only 16hp more than an entry-level Kia Stinger hence the disappointment.

The advantage with the i30 N Fastback is that the car is slightly smaller than the Stinger and it promises to be lighter in weight. But even that won’t be enough for the i30 N Fastback to become the benchmark in South Korea’s performance scene.

The title still belongs to the Kia Stinger GT – a car that rides on a 365hp 3.3L V6 engine. If you’re still unconvinced, you can check out the i30 N Fastback spy video on the Nurburgring below to notice the slower speed of the sports car from Hyundai.
