Is 2018 Ford Mustang On Par With Lexus LFA?

If you are a big fan of Toyota, then you should know that the Lexus LFA is the most powerful and expansive vehicle from the company. The LFA was launched back in 2012 and it is still a great supercar today.

But when it comes to pure drag performance, the LFA is no longer as special as before because its ability to burst into speed has been matched by a Ford Mustang.

The 2018 Ford Mustang GT is a big step-up from the previous model as it has 460hp to offer from a 5L V8 engine and the new 10-speed automatic gearbox has helped the car post some impressive quarter-mile timings.

While there has yet to be an official drag time for the new Stang, early testers have achieved 11.83 seconds with a peak speed of 119.51mph. This is really impressive, especially when you also take into consideration the price of the Mustang GT.

The timing is near similar to the Lexus LFA that was tested by Car&Driver back in 2012 hence making this a worthy accomplishment for the Ford Mustang. But of course, the LFA is not made purely for the straight line so it is wrong to call the Mustang GT as the superior car.
