Subaru Levorg Production-Ready Prototype Makes Appearance In Tokyo

The Subaru Levorg or the WRX Wagon that we were hoping would come to the US will now be getting a next-gen model but before we get to see the actual production version, Subaru decided to show off the prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show this week.

While Subaru might be calling it a prototype right now, the vehicle looks very close to being production-ready and we will not be surprised if the vehicle ends up looking like this or very close to this.

The design here is clearly inspired by the Viziv Performance and Viziv Tourer concept with its wide hexagonal grille in front and boomerang-shaped headlights. Even with all the updates, it is still recognizable as a Levorg which si nice.

Powering the next-gen Levorg will be a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine instead of a 1.6-liter turbocharged and we might even see a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. These engines will be mated to the CVT and will come with the updated version of EyeSight.
