Jaguar I-Pace Conquers Track Territory, Your Move Tesla!

By  |

Tesla’s Ludicrous Mode has shown to the world that EVs can sprint faster than most ICE cars but it will be a mistake to think that the Model S, Model X and Model 3 as great performance vehicles.

Sure, they may all be fast on the straight line but they have never made any achievement on a proper track. For most driving enthusiasts, track performance is what matters most as it gives an accurate look at how well a car can truly perform.

In this realm, Jaguar’s all-new I-Pace is already ahead of Tesla as it has set a new record around Laguna Seca. The I-Pace was piloted by professional racer Randy Pobst and it finished a lap around Laguna Seca in an amazing time of 1:48.18.

This basically means that the I-Pace is faster than the BMW 335i Coupe, Mazda RX-8 and Ford Focus ST. The I-Pace attempt has also made the vehicle the fastest EV to race on the iconic track.

Actually Model 3 seems to be a great performance vehicle. Model S not so much. It’s already many years old tech.
