Kia Forte5 Returning To The US?

By  |

Kia has just taken out the Kia Forte5 from their US line up but it looks like Kia might be looking to bring it back after it was reported that the executive order that Kia submitted to the California Air Resources Board left a placeholder for the Forte5.

In the list, there were four 2020 Kia Forte, the Forte sedan without the smart cruise control, the Forte sedan with the smart cruise control, the Frte5 with DCT and the Forte5 with DCT and smart cruise control. These models will all come powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 201hp and 195lb ft of torque.

Of course, them appearing in the list does not mean that it will be coming for sure as Kia might just be preparing in case they need it in the future. The Kia Forte5 was launched in Canada early this year so it is not that surprising if they plan to offer it in the US as well.
