Maserati Does Not Plan To Join All-Electric Movement

By  |

More and more automakers are looking to offer an electric vehicle of their own but according to Maserati, they have no plans to hop on that train anytime soon.

The automaker informs Motor Trend that they have no interest in letting go of gasoline engine but that does not mean that they are not interested in electric. Instead of going full EV, Maserati is looking to offer more hybrid-powered models.

It was added that Maserati thinks that the brand needs a combustion engine as it is part of its roots. We have already seen a glimpse of their hybrid models like the Alfieri Concept car that many believe would be shown off at the Geneva Auto Show next year.

Maserati also announces that they will be overhauling their entire line up by 2022 which is great news for the fans but don’t expect to see any full electric model from them anything soon.
