Mazda CX-5, 6 & 3 Stalling Issue Revealed [Recall]

Mazda will have to bring back some of their models after it was revealed that some models might have a software error that would cause the affected vehicles to stall.

The recall will affect a few Mazda models including the 2019 – 2019 Mazda CX-5, 2018 – 2019 Mazda 6, and the 2019 Mazda 3. According to the recall, these models have an error in its programming in the powertrain control module that could cause the engine to shut down.

The recall will affect about 143,004 units of the models but some vehicles might have already receive the software update at the factory to solve the issue mention here.

Mazda also added that no injuries and crashes that are related to the issue have been reported. The recall is said to start on the 26th of August 2019. Mazda’s fix will be to improve the hydraulic valve adjustment control programming. The fix will be free.
