Mitsubishi PHEV Concept Taking The Party To Tokyo

Mitsubishi will be heading to the Tokyo Auto Show this year with a new concept that will not only show off what Mitsubishi had in mind when it comes to their upcoming PHEV model but it will also work as a boom box.

Mitsubishi released a new teaser image of the concept and while the image is pretty dark, we do get to pick out some details like the pair of speakers that are fitted to the roof pillars. We can also make out the gasoline-electric powertrain that can be seen through the glass panel. The concept will come powered by a gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid drivetrain although the rest of the details are still a mystery now.

The automaker also revealed that their upcoming PHEV concept will be lighter than expected as it will be fitted with a downsized powertrain that will be lighter than normal.

This year’s Tokyo Motor Show will be happening on the 24th of October.
