Move Aside Lamborghini, Jeep Trackhawk Wins Fastest Title With Some Help

By  |

The Lamborghini Urus has won the SUV master race by having the fastest speed in the segment – beating rivals like the Porsche Cayenne and also the Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

The latter, in particular, boast having the greatest power count among them all but it is also the heaviest performance SUV in the world. Because of the weight, the 707hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has failed to become the best performing SUV on the drag strip.

Tuners Hennessey Performance can’t accept this and they have taken the initiative to save the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk some face. Hennessey made some changes on the Trackhawk’s powertrain and this has boosted power to 1,200hp.

With the new tunes, the Jeep Grand Cherokee can hit 60mph from stop in just 2.3 seconds. It helps explain why Hennessey has been loud in claiming that the tuned Trackhawk is the world’s fastest SUV right now.
