New Nissan Web Ad Says Leaf Is Better Than Tesla Model 3!

By  |

Most of us can agree that Nissan is being too sluggish in the world of EV despite having a strong start with the Leaf. Today, the Leaf is considered as an old car and it desperately needs an update or risk losing out to its rivals.

For Nissan, it appears that they don’t have any strong desire to update the Leaf anytime soon. We say this because we came across a brand new web ad from Nissan and it promotes the Leaf. To make things worse, Nissan is trying to attract the consumers by questioning them on why wait for an EV car that is not developed yet.

We have taken a screenshot of it and you can check it out above. Obviously, Nissan was hitting out on the upcoming Tesla Model 3. The latter is currently in development and it promises a low price tag and 200 miles of driving range.

This is way more than what the Leaf can offer hence many are attracted to it. Perhaps, Nissan should stop picking fights and just focus on producing the next-gen Leaf. Wouldn’t you agree?

The Nissan Leaf is fugly. That’s the main problem. It looks like a cheap European beetle/bug rental car. The model 3 is stylish and elegant looking and people would actually want to be seen in it. The Bolt isn’t as nice as the Tesla, but much better looking than the Leaf.

If Nissan would scrap the current body style and redesign the Leaf to look like something that doesn’t induce immediate nausea and vomiting, they would be able to leverage their current situation nicely. Other Nissan models are much more attractive and can compete in their segment.
