Next Ford Bronco: Prospects Dashed By Super Cab Allegations

After two decades of absence, Ford is finally developing a new-generation Bronco and the iconic 4×4 SUV promises to take the market by storm. The arrival of the next-gen Bronco will also add diversity in a segment that has long been dominated by the Jeep Wrangler.

However, the Bronco’s prospects have suffered a dip in recent weeks and this is caused by the rumors claiming that the vehicle will be an SUV version of the next-gen Ranger. This particular statement was further backed up by Ford when the carmaker revealed that both the Bronco and the Ranger are being built in the same facility with the same underpinning.

It is pretty obvious that both the Ranger and the Bronco will be sharing a lot of parts but the scary bit is with the Bronco’s blueprint. It was also mentioned by the rumors that the Bronco will not have a two-door option as it will be based on the Ranger Extended Cab.

This particular claim was made without any evidence to back it up but it still manages to cause a stir within the Bronco’s fanbase. Fans of the Bronco would prefer the traditional 2-door ‘Super Cab’ setup like how it was in the past hence if the rumors are right, it will only reduce the Bronco’s sales prospects.

The good news here is that the rumors are not proven yet hence you should take it with a grain of salt. The full details on the next-gen Bronco are expected to come out when Ford unveils the vehicle at the next LA Auto Show.
