Next Ford GT500 Writes Off 2018 Detroit 2.0 Chances!

It is no secret that Ford has been working on the next-gen Mustang GT500 and many expected the car to make its debut this year. Well, we are already approaching Q3 2018 and there is still no sign of the car around.

The GT500 was expected to get unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show but that didn’t happen at all. It was only after that when the organizers of Detroit revealed on changing the event date to either June or October in a bid to gather more participants.

This has led rumours to suggest that the GT500 will get unveiled at the second Detroit event this year. Well, if you’re hoping for this to be true, you best check again because the second Detroit show is not happening at all.

The organizers offered an update on the matter earlier today and they quoted that the date change will begin in 2020, not 2018. This basically confirms that the Mustang GT500 chances for a 2018 Detroit debut are gone.
