Next Ford Mustang GT500: No V8 Superchargers In Sight, Here’s Why

By  |

About a week ago, the next-gen Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 became the most talked about vehicle around and this is after a report offered more details on the powertrain which the car will run on.

In case you are unaware, the report revealed that the next-gen Mustang GT500 will be relying on a V8 and the mill will be equipped with superchargers. This will enable the car to develop 680hp but the thought of utilizing superchargers is not at all exciting.

The good news here is that there is little chance for the next-gen Mustang GT500 to run on a supercharged V8 and this is because the report is based on an unreliable source. We realized this when we saw the same report claiming that the next-gen Fiesta will be sold here in the US.

Knowing that Ford has officially confirmed the Fiesta won’t be sold here, it shows that the source of the report is merely making speculations without any basis.
