Nissan Maxima, Murano & More Recalled Over Fire Risk

Nissan will be issuing a recall after it was reported that some of their models might have a fire risk. According to the reports, about 394,025 units will be affected by the recall.

It was added that about 215,000 units of the vehicles were recalled before but they will need to come back as these models might have been recalled and unrepaired or inspected but did not require any repairs at that time.

While it is the same issue, the new recall will affect more vehicles compared to the last time. The issue here is the anti-lock brake pump seal that might deteriorate and cause the brake fluid to leak into the electric circuit board causing it to malfunction or short which would then led to a fire.

Models that will be affected this time include the 2017 to 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, 2016 to 2017 Nissan Maxima, 2015 to 2017 Nissan Murano and the 2017 Infiniti QX60.

One indication that drivers might see now is the ABS warning light illuminates for more than 10 seconds.
