Seat Leon Get New Engine

By  |

We have already seen what the Seat Leon TGI will be offering and now, let’s see what the new Leon TGI EVO will be offering.

Instead of the 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol four engines that are fitted under the hood of the standard TGI model, the TGI EVO will come in with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that has a Miller cycle combustion, new-gen variable turbine geometry turbocharging system and advance stop/start system.

All the work done to the engine will make sure it meets the demands of running on CNG. The engine will be offering about 128hp and 148lb ft of torque will be fitted with a six-speed manual transmission or the dual-clutch seven-speed transmission.

In CNG mode, the Leon TGI EVO will have a range of 311miles with an extra 93 with the petrol engine. No price list was release yet but Seat did say that it would be offered in three grades options.
